Brad Goldberg is the Managing Partner of Vault 164, and a San Francisco born, San Mateo county native. Brad been in the restaurant business for over 30 years, and has worked with partners Dennis and Bill Berkowitz, and Greg Boro, for over 20 years, in every management capacity, most recently at the highly regarded Billy Berk's in San Jose. Starting as a prep cook chopping onions at the Velvet Turtle in his teens, Brad has also opened numerous successful restaurants in the bay area, including The Grill on the Alley in San Jose, Kokkari in San Francisco, and The Wild Hare in Menlo Park. "I value every guest that walks through our door, and my hope is that if you have been in the restaurant once or twice, we've had a chance to meet each other". Brad enjoys his free time with his wife and two boys, and getting out on the golf course when he gets a chance, and rooting for the Oregon Ducks.
Alex Chernett, Manager of Vault 164, brings to the restaurant his east coast charm. Originally from Philadelphia, Alex graduated magna cum laude from Johnson Wales University with a bachelor's degree in International Hotel and Tourism Management. After working for Marriott International in Rhode Island, and Ian Schrager's Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City, Alex moved west to continue his career with Billy Berk's Restaurant in San Jose. Alex's passion for food and beverage make him a great addition to the Vault 164 management staff. On Alex's days off he can often be found hiking one of the bay area's great trails or enjoying a new small batch bourbon.
Carlos Salcedo, executive chef at Vault 164, has served as Max's Restaurants corporate chef for the past seven years. A native of Sinaloa, Mexico, Carlos has worked in a number of different kitchens, starting with the Pinebrook Inn in Belmont, and Draeger's, and has been the executive Chef in numerous Max's. His creativity and passion are key to the menu at Vault 164. Carlos spends his free time with his wife and two kids.
Kristyn Igne, CS, is responsible for the bar program at Vault 164. She is an East Bay native and a graduate of the French Culinary Institute's Sommelier Program. She is an experienced bartender; most recently she was the head bartender at Billy Berk's. Her favorite wine at the moment is the 2003 Bertani Amarone, and when she's not working, she follows the local sports teams and checking out new Thai restaurants.
